Mash bananas with the sugar until no large banana chunks remain.
Add the butter and egg to the banana mixture and combine.
Whisk dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix to combine.
Put batter into the loaf pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for one hour.
Notes
This recipe is also delicious with walnuts or blueberries added to the batter. For a crunchy top, add walnuts and coarse raw or demerara sugar before baking.
